I created this crochet design project as a way to explore how texture and structure can shape a garment. I focused on designing a full black crochet coat, using shell and netting stitches to test different patterns and surfaces. I developed sketches, researched references, and experimented with yarn samples before starting the final piece. Through this process, I worked with materials and techniques to better understand how crochet can move between craft and wearable design.
